20 Things about Felicity Smoak

I fully expect this to be contradicted by canon at some point as we find out more about Felicity, but here we go.

1. She was born and raised in Starling City.
2. Her allergy to nuts was discovered when she had brownies with them at her best friend's birthday party when she was six. Two days in the hospital was not fun.
3. After that was when she got her first computer - a second-hand Commodore 64. At first, she did BASIC programming and figured out game cheats. Then she tried to reprogram Donkey Kong to make Mario a girl.
4. Later, she took the Commodore apart to see how it worked. And put it back together in perfect working order.
5. Her second computer was an Amiga. She still has it at home even though she moved onto PCs in her later teen years.
6. Her first crush was Stefan Cassadine. Her mom was a General Hospital fan.
7. Her second crush was Oliver Queen after she saw him and his family on the news. He doesn't know, and she got over it. Really. She did.
8. Her first kiss was at her Bat Mitzvah. It was kind of gross. He slobbered on her.
9. Her mother died a few months after her Bat Mitzvah. It turned out she had been sick for a long time but hadn't told anyone, even Felicity's father.
10. She started chewing her nails after that when she got anxious or nervous
11. In order to stop herself from biting her nails, she started painting them in bright colors. This worked because she didn't like the taste of the polish and because she didn't like messing her nails up.
12. In high school, she ran the light board for all the drama performances. She ended up with the job because she was the only one who could figure out how to program it. They still call her sometimes.
13. She was salutatorian at her high school graduation.
14. She lost her virginity the summer after she graduated from high school. He still kind of slobbered.
15. She went to Berkeley on a scholarship provided by Queen Consolidated. Walter Steele set up the program.
16. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Software Engineering. She knew more about computers than most of her professors.
17. She was engaged and almost got married before they decided they wanted different things in life and broke it off. No, it wasn't the guy who slobbered.
18. She hates Facebook. Especially since it was how she found out her next boyfriend had dumped her.
19. She started dying her hair after the break-up because she wanted a change and found that she actually liked the way it looked.
20. Walter was sure she'd be in charge of the entire Queen Consolidated IT Department by the time she was 30.
